Mark Trollip
Managing Director
Mr. Trollip brings extensive expertise in project planning, management, and renewable energy and P.V. Solutions. With valuable relationships forged over the last decade with key players in the South African renewables landscape. His background includes valuable experience from working in demanding environments like High Pressure Natural Gas and Oil Drilling, on shore and off shore. He also trained as a Millwright in the South African sector. He was first exposed to Solar P.V. in the US, where it was incorporated in to infrastructure on drill sites. As the Managing Director, Mark ensures precise operations and strategic direction, guiding HydroSun towards excellence.
Milton Erasmus
Master Electrician MIE
As a registered MIE with the Department of Labour, Milton Erasmus brings over 34 years of unrivaled expertise in Construction Electrical. His extensive background and hands-on experience allow Hydrosun to seamlessly integrate our Solar designs in to existing AC infrastructure.
Specializing in all electrical applications and installations, including Certification of Compliance (COC’s), Milton ensures top-notch quality, compliance and safety standards in every project he undertakes.
Armen Smook
Lead Renewables Electrician
Armen brings a fresh perspective and unwavering dedication to Hydrosun, strengthening our engineering and electrical capabilities with his diverse technical background. Beginning his studies in Mechanical Engineering and later transitioning into Electrical Engineering through a reputable Australian institution, Armen has consistently demonstrated a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
A qualified Electrician specializing in Solar PV, he is further advancing his expertise by pursuing a Master Electrician certification, with plans to complete his Electrical Engineering degree. This commitment to growth ensures he remains aligned with the latest industry standards and emerging technologies.
Currently specializing in electrical systems and wiring, Armen’s combined engineering insight and hands-on electrical experience allow Hydrosun to deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions that meet the unique requirements of each client. His forward-thinking approach helps keep Hydrosun at the forefront of sustainable, technical, and energy-efficient innovation.
Zella Pirie
External Consultant
Zella brings extensive expertise in administration and management, building and maintaining robust support systems that are integral to Hydrosun’s success. She ensures smooth operations across all departments, and her collaborative approach fosters a cohesive team environment, while her proactive problem-solving ensures that challenges are addressed efficiently.
Zella continues to strengthen the team and add value through her new endeavours and will now be operating as an External Consultant to Hydrosun. Her dedication and evolving role play a vital part in supporting the company’s efficiency and long-term growth.
Janco van Staden
Electrician
Janco is a dynamic professional with exceptional planning skills and a clear, straightforward approach that contributes greatly to Hydrosun’s operational success. He qualified as an Electrician at Hydrosun under the guidance of our in-house MIE, Milton Erasmus—a significant milestone that reflects his commitment to professional growth and excellence.
Throughout his time with the company, Janco has consistently demonstrated reliability, dedication, and continuous improvement, strengthening his technical expertise as he gains valuable experience each day. With a strong focus on results and a hands-on work ethic, Janco ensures that every task is completed to the highest standard. James Manda
Trainee Junior Warehouse Manager

Gelica Trollip
RPL Holder (Marketing & Technical Support)
Gelica is a licensed Remote Pilot License (RPL) holder who supports HydroSun’s marketing, aerial media content, and technical collaboration initiatives.
All commercial drone operations are conducted under the authority of properly certified and SACAA-compliant Remote Operator Certificate (ROC) entities in accordance with South African aviation regulations.

Chief Administrator
Macaela is a highly skilled and versatile administrator with a strong background in finance, office management, and customer support. With extensive experience across accounting firms and technical service environments, she brings accuracy, structure, and professionalism to every task she undertakes.
